Here To Crash This Party!

This is my 3rd year attending the Ultimate Blog Party at 5 Minutes for Mom and my 3rd year of blogging. I must say the party every year just keeps getting better and better!
A little about me:
I’m Jean a full time working momma from 8 to 5 and then I come home to a house full of boys to begin my second shift of being a mom, which is a full time 24 hour job in itself ..hence the blog name.
This past year we have gone from living the American dream only to wake up to that which is the American nightmare of unemployment . I won’t go into my sob story because this is a party dang it!
This blog is a random masterpiece of ‘this and that’ with an attempt at humor that can be hit or miss. In other words, I don’t have a specific blog focus or lofty goals to become the next blogging super star. The blog is what it is and that’s all I can give you.

A Few Blog Visuals:
I’m a visual person so I thought a few linked blog posts to pics might entice your interest.

Of course there’s always Wordless Wednesdays
Can you guess this state?

I decided to throw in my used Starbucks gift card (it’s still got $10 on it, beggars can’t be choosers) for the winner.  Just comment below with your guess. Those who pick correctly will get their name thrown in a hat and be crowned ” The Best United States Salt Map Guesser In America or Canada or Wherever You’re From”  and win the gift card. Oh…I’ll also give you a somewhat helpful hint every day if it’s too hard. I’ll keep this party rolling until 04/17  so the fashionably late crowd can play too.

Hint #1 It has the most diners in the world and is sometimes referred to as the diner capital of the world.

Those (2 of you) who already know the answer can certainly throw your name in the hat, just don’t make it obvious that you know. You know?

My attempts at photography:

And my newest(only) feature: Couples Therapy- role played with action figures and the lovely and talented Barbie who came to our home of testosterone, thanks to a miss understanding in the drive thru, when clearly stating “3 Boys” was interpreted as “2 Boys and 1 Girl”.  Welcome to my world.
(click the pic to get the full story, it could save your relationship..or not )
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to say Hi and take a guess at the “mystery state” that was my kids’ Social Studies project. I promise to make every attempt to stop back by your place as well. I’ve made a few close blog friends from previous Ultimate Blog Parties. So won’t you please…please wont you be… my blog neighbor?

Here’s just some of the things I’d love to win in no particular order
US18-Goodie Basket
US39-Be My Guest Certificate
US71-Build A Bear Workshop GC
US73 Amazon Gift Cards or US 74
US104-$50 Vanilla Visa GC
I’d be happy to win anything listed in the lovely prize o plenty that’s not listed, their all great! Please and Thank You!

  1. I know the state – I used to live there and now that I’m in Florida, I would really appreciate a good diner. French fries and brown gravy… yum. What was I saying?

  2. Is it New Jersey?? My first guess (from the shape) was Alaska, but there aren’t all that many diners in AK! Just popped in from your UBP comment on my blog! Thanks for the visit!!

  3. OH OH my guess is New Jersey cause google told me so. Came for the party, answered the quiz and I say that gives me my pass to look around the site more. Hope you are having a good time. Stop by and visit when you get a chance.

  4. Well, the hint was helpful…………..because before I knew it was a state I thought it was a dress. I know good imagination! I will go with New Jersey. What did we do before we had instant information on the computer!

  5. Hi there – just dropping in from the UBP! I’m going to go way out on a limb here and say… New Jersey?

I scrolled down to read a couple of posts and got hooked – the two sides of the dining out story were especially awesome!

    Enjoy the party. 🙂

  6. Thanks for visiting my blog! Your couples therapy is hilarious! And i have to be honest that I don’t really know what state that is supposed to be, but it looks like New Jersey is a popular guess!

  7. Well, I already knew the answer… love the glitter! And actually it looks like the fabric that my son picked out this morning for me to make him a cape out of… we’ll see how it turns out!
