Tackle It Tuesday-As Good As It Gets

I told you about my drama about painting my oldest sons room to prove a point to my hubs that I could paint his room, and do a decent job. I didn’t want to have pay professionals to do the living room. As usual he was right, I was wrong. I hate it when that happens. It was so worth it to have someone else paint my living room.
I did complete his room and I admit that I could have done a much better job with a little help. This was not a job for the faint of heart.
Here’s the before. This all I had.

He really didn’t need his room painted. I just wanted to prove my point.

The poor kid’s room looked this way for a good week. I ran out of paint and had to use the left over paint from our living room. It didn’t match 100% but close enough. I wasn’t going to buy more paint for half a wall. I did end up re painting this unfinished wall with the left over living room paint. I spared you all from the uneven tops of the wall.

All done! At least the dog approves.

  1. OUCH, I really need to do both boys rooms, HOWEVER at 14 and 17 I have told them they have to get them tidy first and they just seem incapable.

  2. I love to paint. I just hate to do all the taping and edging. The rest is fine! LOL I will come and paint for you…you just have to pay my way. Which in the long run, it might be cheaper to hire those painters! πŸ™‚

  3. Well, at least you tackled something out of the ordinary. I tried to tackle dishes and laundry. And I came away with a bloody nose πŸ˜‰ (not literally, I was trying to be funny and not managing at all. LOL)
